 We do not anymore present the Antonio Gadès "Carmen", made known to the widest audience by the Carlos Saura's film.
This masterly piece, adapted from the work of Prosper Mérimée and Georges Bizet with great discernment, stages Carmen, Don Jose, the husband and the bullfighter.
The action begins in a dance studio, the drama takes his source, it's developing with a ancient tragedy nudity and brutality. The music and flamenco singing blend perfectly with Bizet's pages in this chronicle of a foretold death, which remains the most estimated piece of work of a Gadés at his peak of art.
